The leave ends for now.
After 7 days of idleness, I'm back to camp to idle again.
It's true pure pre-monday blues I guess. Wearing back my No.4, waking up early, sleeping in the hot uncirculated bunk. But I can see the greenery, birds, swallows and re-experience the blissful idleness of a public holiday in camp.
We went for the countdown and it wasn't really a countdown, nobody counted. The fireworks blew and we just wah here and there, take pic and had stiff aching necks. New York Pizza @ HabourFront's good, we had the super medium 12" X 15" Hawaiian, just nice for the 4 of us + a tray of cheese fries and drinks.
HF was simply swelled up with throngs of people up on the bridge, across the walkway, up illegally parking their lorries, cars on the flyover and us on the middle road divider. Cars didn't wanna move and no one was occupying the divider and it was a great place to view the fireworks, especially for those coming from the cruise centre.
Up next, we made a long, tiring journey back home. Exiting the carpark was tough but exiting the AYE was even tougher. It was almost equivalent to a jammed causeway whereby every car moves inch by inch for several kilometers. Dan's legs eventually got tired.
With the torture over at Rochor exit, joe was sent off first and we had tau huey near my house. They decided to take a leak at my place and to nick's horror he found my room way beyond decent expectation. Dan commented that it's much better now and I said my mum has given up on my ability to be neat and tidy. I'm simply incorrigible. =)
